One parent/caregiver participates in the class to best support each child.

Baby Movers Open Play Space will get children ages 6 months to 2 years out of the cold and moving. A teacher will lead babies and their caregivers through movement exercises using fun music and interactive objects. Babies will learn coordination and rhythm to assist in development.

All Urbanity Baby for Active Dads classes are held at Urbanity Balance, 111 W. Concord Street in Boston’s South End.

Our CURRENT RATE is $60 to become certified in Infant and Child CPR Certification.

This is a monthly offering. Dates and times vary.

Certified Dads is a service provided to fathers that wish to be certified in infant and child CPR but have been deterred from doing so due to the costs of becoming certified, a lack of service providers in their area or some other reason.  Our mission is to match fathers wishing to become certified (for at least half the cost of market rates) with instructors/certificate providers we've partnered with who wish to offer this discount.

Become a life saver.  A modern day superhero that has the ability to save a child's life with your skill, hands and will.  Become certified in infant and child CPR for half the cost of the market rate in your region.   

Congratulations you did it!  Well she did, but you were right by her side.  Now you’re all home and the real journey has just begun.  The first 3 months of parenthood can be extremely fulfilling, yet challenging at times for not only the baby or new mom but for new dads as well.  This class is an opportunity to:

-find your place in this new equation
-bond with your baby
-adjust to the ever changing reality of fatherhood
-find ways to help mom during this time
-decompress
-and share your experience in a fun, relaxed and supportive environment with fellow fathers and their newborns.

Nothing is off limits during these sessions.  We will discuss everything from swaddling to sleep deprivation, shared caregiving to career adjustments.  The role of the father is evolving right before our eyes and as dads we’re on the frontline of the most significant mission one could face -raising another human being.  So bring your bundle of joy (and noise) and let’s navigate this stage together.  We will learn, grow and be lead by our common desire to be the best father’s we can be.  Moms are irreplaceable.  Fathers are too.
